Team

Twenty departments, one building

20 departments and 59 people at the Gifhorn site, plus a field sales organisation of roughly two hundred representatives. A sales company does not need a department that does nothing but file grid connection applications. We have one, with five people in it.

Structure

Who does what

Grouped the way the company is actually run: management, administration, engineering and operations, and the installation crews. The figures in brackets are positions per department and add up to 60, one more than the 59 people, because one colleague works in two teams.

Management

4 departments, 9 people

Two shareholders, both operationally involved, plus department heads.

Executive management (3)Two managing directors entered in the commercial register, both shareholders and both working in the business, plus one further executive role.
Sales management (2)Steers the field sales organisation and allocates orders.
Department heads (2)Run the direct and the indirect side, hold quality and pace.
Staff functions (2)Work across both sides, from assistance to quality management.

Administration

6 departments, 10 people

The departments that keep the company running rather than the roofs.

HR (1)Recruitment, onboarding and everything that follows.
Accounting (2)Invoicing and bookkeeping, traceable end to end.
IT (1)Keeps systems and hardware running.
CRM back office (3)Maintains customer records and keeps every project on track in the system.
Marketing (2)Website, content and campaigns.
Reception (1)First voice on the telephone, first face in the building.

Engineering and operations

7 departments, 27 people

This is where the argument sits: planning, DC, AC, heat pumps and grid registration are five separate departments, not one desk with five job titles.

Project planning (2)Takes a project from survey to release for installation.
DC engineering (7)Lays out the array, module by module and string by string.
AC engineering (4)Designs the electrical side and takes the system to the grid.
Heat pumps and climate (3)Designs and commissions heat pump and climate systems.
Grid registration (5)Files applications and commissioning notifications with 849 distribution grid operators.
Warehouse and logistics (5)Material, modules and equipment, in the right place on the right day.
Fleet (1)Keeps the crews on the road and on time.

Installation crews

3 departments, 14 people

Our own crews, in three trades. Not subcontracted per project.

DC crews (8)Mounting system and modules on the roof.
AC crews (3)Electrical connection and grid hook-up.
Heat pump crews (3)Installation and commissioning of heat pumps and climate systems.
The faces

Photographs are on the German page

Every person in these departments is shown by name and photograph on our German team page. We have not duplicated it here, because a second copy of a staff list is a second thing to keep current.
